Hi try Driclor. Its a roll-on deoderant that stops you sweating altogether. You can get it in Boots the chemist or other pharmacies. You just put it on in the morning and evening for a couple of weeks then you will only need to put it on every couple of days. Just dont shave your underarms before you apply it! (will sting a bit) I have used Driclor since I was 14 and it has stopped me sweating completely under my arms. Good luck!

is driclor a good idea? your body sweats to get rid of toxins so surely by using this product your body keeps the toxins in? i think you should ask you gp before you use it, you are still young so it could be hormones making you sweat?

Hey Katie, i went through a stage like this when i was your age, im 14 now. all id do is carry deoderant around with you and apply it whenever you need it. i took mine to the toilets and sprayed. i also told my mum and she went out and brought me a mini wash kit that i could take to school and use in the toilets so i didnt feel uncomfterable. it had wetwipes in and tissue and mini deodarant and a mini towel. i took sprays and perfumes, its useful with a little bag to but takes up room. This will stop as you grow up but its a hormones thing.

im 22 years old i a sweat and awful lot under my arms even when its cold i still seem to sweat loads, its got to the point now where its makeing my clothes smell and even after ive washed them you can still smell the sweat there and its rather embarassing when people notice the smell, is there anythink the nhs could offer?

I have the same problem, and I got told it was hormones. This was about 3 years ago. Now it is ten times better, I still sweat abnormally a bit, but I can deal with it better emotionally more now. I heard Driclor deodorant is good, and I also took primrose evening tablets and they helped too! Plus natural salt deodorants (they're basically salty water) are fab! Also, I found that a lot of it is in your head. I tended to be ok, then think "Oh my god I'm not sweating" or if I was I thought "Oh my god I'm sweating", but which ever one I thought it made my adrenalin go and I therefore sweated more. Try yoga, get a good clear mind and train yourself to be strong and focused.

i have just turned 16 and for some reason every time i am with my friends in any enviroment my armpits sweat. i used right gaurd and have for about 6 months but the sweat has started 1 month ago nothing i do changes it and no matter how much right gaurd i use it keeps happening plus the smell is very bad when i sweat. please give me any advice on this matter as it is very unplesant thank you (i am a male if that makes any difference)

i am 13 years old and i sweat loads all over my body, an example is when i stand up after sitting down there is a massive sweat pool/line left on the chair, i also get massive sweat patches covering half of my t-shirt. However, my hands cause such a problem, sweat literally drips off my palms and i can't hold paper for more than 5 mins because the paper begins to disintergrate, i refuse to let anyone see or touch my hands and my pen always slides out of my hand, if i put my hand on a table for just a few seconds i leave a large pool of sweat on the table. My hands also always feel cold, at the best of times my hands are moist however for the large majority of the time they are dripping. Please let me know what over the counter things i can get to help, as it is a very embarresing and annoying issue for me :(

Ever since I was a child as soon as I play sport or hot summers day I drip sweat and turn a horrible scarlet colour. It's the sweat pouring from my head and face that is embarrassing for me. I go to an aerobics class and within 15 mins I start to really sweat off face and turn beet root. I feel a freak. My son, parents, aunts and cousin are the same. Is there anything I can do to make this better.

I'm 19. I have sweated more than others since I was about 11. I used to get small sweat patches occasionally, but now I sweat under my arms significantly if I'm hot or in public. The thought that I may sweat makes me sweat even more, and the fear of visible sweat means that I have to wear dark clothing. I have tried strong anti-perspirants but all they do is make me sweat more on other parts of my body like my back. What can I do to stop my underarm and body sweating?

Hi, there, I'm 17 and have the exact same thoughts as you, I went to the Doctors last week, she gave me some special anti-perspirant so hopefully that works, but she said the cause was stress because of my exams. Anyway go to the Doctors is my advice, it might be something else that is causing your swweating!! :)

I've got a similar problem to you. I'm 17, and consider myself quite healthy as a runner and healthy food eater. I started having abnormal underarm sweat levels in fifth grade, so the same age as you. I think it stopped for a little while, but over 90% of my life since then has been effected by it. The strangest part is that at a given moment, even if i have not been sweating for almost an hour, if I sit down i begin literally dripping sweat at a constant rate. It occurs at all times of the day, all temperatures, and all mindsets. My advice to you would probably be to try Drysol, a powerful anti-perspirant. I've read positive things about it, and I'm making a point to try it myself. The chemical aluminum chloride hexahydrate is what stops the perspiration.

I mostly sweat under my armpits, yes i sweat when i am warm and when i am cold, but even when im just sitting somewere i sweat a lot and i shower everyday and i still sweat and it sometimes smells. please help?

Try 'Anhydrol Forte' or 'Dryclor' for under your arms. You have to put it on at night, and leave on till morning, do this once every 4 days at first and then you can drop down to once a week. Be careful not to apply too much at first as it will sting a bit and make your underarms itchy / red, however your skin will get used to it and it works a treat :) It does say you can use it on your hands ect, but I didn't notice much difference when I tried it, so still looking for a solution for that. Hope this helps!

Hi I am like this swell I hate it as much as you do I have been doc about over 20times and he always gives me medication that don't really work or help much I hate been like this iv been like this since I was 14 and now 18 I hate it it's took over my life I can't stand around any one unless I check my self over ten times before I see them.

have a look at a site called sweat guard , it does a antiperspirant for sale for 19.99 its expensive but has a money back if no good i have not tryed this yet but will when i get paid

Basically, when i was 13, when i first started secondary school, i found out that i sweat alot under my arms. Im now 20 and it still hasnt stopped. But i sweat more under my right arm than i do under my left. It gets to me as i dont like wearing nice tops as you can see the sweat marks and i get really embarressed about it. I dread the summer as i only wear baggy tops to try and cover the sweat marks but i am desperate to be able to go out and be like any other girl and not show that i sweat. Ive tried all sorts of deodrants and special roll on's that help you stop sweating but nothing seems to work.

I'm 13 and I've been sweating excessively in the underarms for a year and a half now. Its really affecting my daily activities especially in social situations like school, my shirt is always drenched in sweat. Even in cold weather, sweat, sweat, sweat! It makes me very depressed and self conscious. I eventually bucked up the courage and told my mother who took me to the GP and they gave me tablets for the sweating. It didn't make the sweating go away but it reduced it. Now I don't use the tablets and I am now continuing to sweat like a pig. HELP ME!!

Hi, All my early life i had excessive sweating- worst on my hands- terrible in school etc and at your age 13 i was diagnosed with hyperhidrosis and actually had an operation to cut the gland(went up through my underarm and cut around my shoulder blade at back) Operation was hugely successful and my hands do not sweat at all now. It changed my life, however my feet and underarms still sweat excessively but they are much more easily managed! Hope this helps :-)

I suffered for years from the same problem. I was very embarrassed and and insecure about it. The doctor did prescribe those tablets but they didn't work much. One day I made a confession to my cousin about my problem and she remembered a colleague had had the same problem in the past. She suggested Axitrans, it's a roller which you put on before bed. It saved me. you can find it online. good luck and hope it will help for you as well.
