Conditions with symptom: 'swollen tongue'
I have had a swollen tongue now off and on for many months it is also very thick and smooth to look at and pale in colour. I also feel very tired at times and i wonder if this has anything to do with my swollen tongue..Help
I have a sore swollen tongue with a deep ridge in the middle,it also feels like it is slightly swollen right at the back of my throat but at the base of my tongue, which I can feel when I swallow. I've had this for a few days now can u please help.
I got my tongue pierced around 4 days ago and I think it might be infected because aroubd the piercing it is still swollen and there is puss coming from the hole of where the bar goes through my tongue and behind the bar my tongue is sort of green i have been using mouth wash after eating but I don't know what else to do
go to your doctor as you are right this sounds like an infection. antibiotics should clear that up fairly quickly!
i got mine done last year and when i got it done there was yellow stuff round it but it turns out it was a bit of skin so it might be that hope this helps if it swells after a week fone the peircing place and tell them and go to your doctor
My tongue is really really dry, like sand paper and I don't have a lot of saliva. Under my tongue it is quite swollen and the veins look huge especially on the right. I don't have any sores but my tongue feels like it is on fire and I can't taste anything, the taste buds are big and red/ purply... Any ideas?

I have a swollen red round lump on the tip of my tongue. It is very sore and won't go away. I have tried lots of remedies. It has been there for weeks now and I'm worried sick that I may have tongue cancer. Can anyone help/advise?
i had my tongue pierced early may 2011 and got through the healing stage quite alright... but recently about 2 days now my tongue has been swollen and it is really bad today, i talk like i have lisp and i tend to drool a lot of saliva. i am also sure that i have not eaten anythin that i am allergic to. so what can this be?
I think this might be tonsillitis. My little boy had this recently and he had puss like white spots on his glands.
Since I had gallbladder trouble late 2012 on and off I will experience a white coating on my tongue, it is swollen and has teeth indentions in the sides. What is the problem and what can I do to correct it. Sometimes it feels swollen enough to interfere with my speech.
This may be oral thrush.
A. Get your gull bladder out. And sounds like thrush.
pls help. my tongue is disgusting ,cracked and feels swollen also feels sore and stings when i eat..red and inflamed too. pls advise me .i ve tried vit b 12 and blood tests for anemia but all ok.im begining to avoid talkin to people as u can see my tongue when i talk. im very distressed by it all......
You have Cracked Tongue Syndrome (CTS) by the sounds of it. Best bet is to speak to your GP about it
back of my tongue has swollen taste buds, also surrounding these are a white substance. when i brush my tongue most of this white stuff comes off but it will come back within the day, so i have to brush my tongue everyday to get rid of this white stuff. it's not painful, but is embarrassing. does anyone know what it is?
