i'm 15 and so is my boyfriend, but when we kiss, he gets an erection and it's not that easy to cover. we're not doing anything other than kissing, and we haven't before either, but it wont stop. i suggested doing it himself to relieve sexual tension, but it hasn't worked yet. why is this happening and how can we stop it?

i have had a deep pore on my back on my right shoulder blade for years that inflames every couple of months and any discharge (that i feel comes from VERY DEEP within the muscle) as one would expect, really smells but my question also relates to terrible head/neck muscle pain /migraine i also get relating to this same muscle /shoulder /neck- for which i pay privately to have regular physio, manipulation and massage to help relive the tension. might the deep pore inflammation be causing the muscle to tighten /spasm ? i also have a permanent spot? i am not sure what it is at the base of the skull… .that gets very tender and swells in association with the muscle/neck pain my GP dismissed me when i even mentioned that the smelling deep pore was an embarrassing re occurring problem to me and that i felt anxious that it would erupt or smell when i was undergoing physio or even if i had a massage etc several massage therapists have commented on it and that too makes me anxious and embarrassed this has been going on for at least 4 years… i just feel that the inflammation / infection from the pore and the swelling on the base of my skull and the resulting pain /migraine from the muscle from my shoulder to the neck/head are linked in some way. the GP has given me diazepam to help relieve the tension that causes the pain but i wonder if the inflamed pore is at the root of the cause

My husband and I have been together for 7 yrs and throughout that time he has only had sex with me in 3 positions, and all of them involve me being on top. Everytime we try something new he ejaculates immediately or we have to stop after a few seconds because he wants to orgasm. He is very reluctant to talk about this with me as he says that he feels rubbish at sex and he can't do it. It is really causing tension in the relationship and it has got to the point where we are no longer enjoying a sexual realtionship anymore. I have made sure that I haven't pressurised him but now I don't know what to do.

There are a number of things you can try. Firstly, if he is on top or in the position that sets the pace he can slow down when he feels he is close to ejaculating. He can even pull out and move to oral, using his hand or a toy to stimulate you while he 'recovers'. After he ejaculates, you can have sex again. This is easier in younger men but he will last significantly longer the second time. You may have to wait 15mins or so since he may be super sensitive after orgasm. There are also local numbing creams that he can ask his doctor about. He can also try wearing a condom, particularly NOT one that is 'super thin' which will reduce sensation a bit. Lastly, he can also stimulate you before sex with oral, hand or toys. Be sure to tell him what you want/like. If you have already orgasmed (once or more) or at least had a fulfilling pleasurable experience before the intercourse starts then he may feel much less pressure to perform.

Hi James, mine was the same at your age (im not 29). I'd just try gently stretching it when having a bath or shower and over time it will become looser. Theres no need for medical intervention unless its so tight it causes you serious problems so dont worry, you're perfectly normal :) Hope this helps.

I have been in a happy relationship with my boyfriend for two years now and we have been having sex for about a year. The only problem is that I find it difficult to enjoy sex as I have an extremely sensitive clitoris, and frequently find it uncomfortable and even painful when stimulated, and as a result, I find it impossible to experience an orgasm. This problem is putting some tension on my relationship and my sexual libido has greatly decreased. Please help?

Hi, there. Im 25 and have had panic attacks for over 15 years now. although Diazepam does work it is not a long term solution as your body gets used to the dosage and it also has addictive qualities. The best things that have helped me are antidepressents that are ssri inhibitors which specifically combat anxiety although you have to stick at them as for the first 2 weeks you can feel worse before better. Also a clinical psychologist referal through your GP is very helpful and CBT can really help. Your GP should refer you. if not get a second opinion for a referal. Dont worry it will get better. hope this helps.

For the past 2 and a half years, I have been feeling constantly lightheaded and like I am going to pass out. It all started a month before my first period started, so i am starting to wander if it my hormones? I have really irregular periods, and havent had one for 3 months so far. I am underweight and feel like I am losing weight, not intending too though. Sometimes my periods are heavy and sometimes light. I also have anxiety. I always worry that I have something seriously wrong with me or I am going to die, and like you said constantly checking my heart is beating. I feel it is getting worse. But it all started the same time my hormones did. I also feel really tired and like I never want to go out or do the things I used to. Just feel it is taking over my life. Had two blood tests and nothing came up, now waiting on a MRI on my head. Also I am constantly panicking about practically everything. And I am 17. I don't think it is just anxiety, does anyone have an answer??

Hi, I have had a number of events in my life that have caused me stress, one currently on going. I can get upset very quickly and do stress alot. Sometimes even the little silly things stress me out when really there is away around it. I think one problem is that my mind is constantly actively, a new thought every few secs. Due to this I an suffering really back neck, shoulder and back pain. I am having acupuncture treatment and have been told there is too much tension that between my shoulder blades it's solid. I am on maternity so cant really afford to go often, hence by the time i go back the shoulders/neck/back are back to as they were. Is there anything you can recommend that might help? I have tried meditation but i cant get my mind to stop thinking! Thanks

I know it sounds ridiculous, but try and find a 'spiritual healer'. My mums friend is one, she works on my back and coxics whenever she has the time, and it helps sooo much, in a sense its the same as acupuncture, but it may work better for you, generally £30 an hour, i get muscles in my arms, back and legs going solid from that much tension and after an hour with her i feel light and free, if you do try it, expect to cry with releif!! good luck.

Wow I had completely forgotten i had posted here. Just had an email to say I got a reply! Thanks Katie Well 4 years on and i wouldnt say its changed much in terms of the tension in my back, neck and shoulders! I still go for acupuncture but also was referred from GP to physio - they couldnt help - wasted my time tbh! I also go for counselling which is helping but a long process / journey! I have also tried a healer but again it didnt help. I do still occassionally see them. I have suffered with two miscarriages and a death in my family over the last 12 months, dealing with reoccuring anal fissure and the other usual stresses of life! On the upside I managed to leave my last job where management were treating me like poo. I am in a better working environment now but at times the job can be stressful. Noting in comparison to previous job. I try to make small changes where possible but i dont think its enough. There isn't enough help out there for people who suffer with this. We are just told to eat health, do yoga meditation and excersise. Basically dont stress . . . if only it was that easy I won't be suprised if I die from the amount of stress i feel but hey ho got to plod along as you're pretty much stuck with it if you have it bad!

Hi, last night I remember by boyfriend asking me if I'm ok. I answered yes, confused as to why he was asking. I remember checking the time on my phone and being surprised it was only 01:50 as I thought I had been asleep for hours. (I went to sleep at 12). He told me this morning that he had tried to hug me and I pulled away and panicked and jumped out of bed and stood there for a few seconds with my head in my hands before getting back into bed as though nothing had happened. I do not remember this at all and this scares me. This has never happened before to my knowledge. I also had a dream the night before that my boyfriend was following me, trying to kill me. In real life, he is the most gentle, loving person and we are in a very good place. No arguments or tension. (A little background in case it is relevant) I have been feeling a bit down since before Christmas, but I know that he does not consider depression serious, so I haven't really shared the extent of my sadness with him. Can anyone help me explain the incident last night?

Hi Bronwen I have investigated online and as far as I know you are experiencing a dream state during rem sleep. This means you are dreaming while in a sleep state so your imagination is running wild and anything you dream fed is really happening. If you are conscious just try to relax and remember you will wake up eventually. Worst thing you can do is panic. Regards John

I grind my teeth a lot and also wear a gum shield, but also find this works really well. My jaw is a bit dodgy now tho, try not chewing gum, this can put tension on the jaw. also use a heat bag or warm flannel to ease tension on your jaw. i read somewhere that if you put your tongue to the front of your teeth this helps relax your jaw.

I am inclined to think that it is an imbalance that causes them. I get a lot of tension in that bit between the eyes and neck tension and that stops the lymphatic system working properly in that area I think. Also surely the body should bring things to a head not leave them there. I believe silica is good for that but I know the pine bark pills worked and made me feel very much healthier too but it took time. So I think people should be looking at their internals as well as burning off.

Wow I am going to try this garlic sounds brilliant. I had surgery to remove them but within a year the lumps are back way worse than before! So depressing and I do not have high cholesterol but taking statins now as these lumps are spreading like wildfire. I felt that the surgery was a complete waste of money myself.

Hi there, teeth grinding at night is a way people release stress and tension experienced during the day. If you want to treat the root cause of the matter, you might want to google relaxation techniques or maybe even see a therapist to talk through any stuff that causes you stress. Try taking a relaxing bath before bed and you could even journal about anything that causes you anxiety, frustration, anger ... find a way of releasing the tension. Exercise also helps. Good luck.

Hi there. Im 20 years old and have currently been with my bf for 3 years, sex was great at first, but now it is impossible. I feel so much pain whilst having sex, dont get "wet" easily and there is so much spasm and tension below. Ive been to see a GP and have been told i have "vaginismus" which is spasm and tension around the vagina causing deep pain etc. It is very hard for us both, and we are constantly on a rocky road. Ive been given creams, dilators, anesthetic cream and waiting for a scan. I was wondering has anyone else or is anyone else currently going through the same? or have experienced it? I was considering applying for the show as it has really gone too far now and i dont know what else they can do for me.

Hi, I am 19 and am having a similar problem.. sex has become hard as it causes alot of irritation and soreness during and after.. I also seem to have a problem staying 'wet' - i become dry quite quickly during sex and this means my boyfriend has to finish quickly! It has become very frustrating and it makes me not want to have sex...I am worried about the impact this will have on our relationship - we have been together two years and he is so understanding but knowing he and his previous partner had no problems makes me feel bad! I was just wondering if you had any advice as you seem to have tried alot of things to put a stop to this? I am on the pill and often wonder if this may be causing a problem as it gives me quite regular bouts of thrush? I'm afraid I have little in the way of advice for you, apart from I have found regular use of aqueous cream (at least twice a day!) around the vulva and opening of the vagina keeps things moist and helps a little with irritation.. I hope you can help me!

I'm almost sixteen and I have enormous 36F breasts. I thought it was to do with my weight as I was a size 14, but I'm now a size 10 and they havn't changed. My back is really sore now, especially the upper back, a have a lot of tension in my shoulders and I can feel tension building in my neck, so I have to crack it several times a day. I know it's bad and I shouldn't do it but if I don't, my neck gets really stiff and I can't move it. Could these problems be related to my breast size, and if so, am I eligible for a breast reduction on the NHS? Please help, because my mum thinks I'm making up the stories about the pain because she thinks I'm just self-conscious about the size of my breasts, which I am by the way.

It may very well snap. Your best option is to go to your GP. You may very well need to have the frenulum cut to reduce the tension. Nothing to worry about. But dont leave it.

Have you thought to see a physiotherapist.. It will assist with the tension muscle build up that has being coming on for awhile and has now become painful.

to me this doesnt sound like OCD. of course im not a proffesional of any kind but from all the research i have done on this disorder i wouldnt think OCD is the problem here, however it might be worth seeing someone about this as i can see how frustrating it must get. best of luck :)x

I'm 5'6" tall and have a 32H bust. The more weight I lose the bigger the cup size seems to get. I think H is ridiculous and do get some back pain/tension. Is this too big? What defines too big?

If you only had sex once before then there could be a little bit of tension from you maybe before you went through with the sex but for some reason it didnt quite feel right. All I can say is try to relax maybe set the mood and just take things slowly nobody says sex is easy.If the timing doesnt seem right wait a little until it does.

I was watching the live show, and I checked my self for lumps and at the top top of the testical which seems as a lump between the tube and the testical, not actually attached to the ball. What should I do? It doesn't seem to hurt just a small amount of tension when pressed

I got a night guard from my dentist recently and it cost me €90! It did stop the damage my grinding and clenching was doing to my teeth but I still get headaches from the tension. I dont know if you can get it on a medical card. I dont have one but I know it wasnt covered at all on my health or dental insurance.

Apart from some questionable devices on the internet to help stretch the skin, there is nothing that I am aware of non-prescription. Your best bet is to go to your GP, who may well refer you to a Urologist who may either prescribe some steroids to apply which will reduce the tension and allow you to retract your foreskin. Leave it to late and you will end up like me. On the NHS waiting list for a circumcision. Go to the GP. It's not that embarrassing and they have seen it all before, and it is pretty common. Go NOW.

Amber, I know it must seem like nothing can ever get better. I used to self harm and I know how you're feeling, but someone once said to me "Thing's will always get better in the end. If they're not better, then it's not the end." Believe me, things cam only improve. Maybe talking to someone would help you, do you have anyone, a friend, a family member you can approach? Also, when people used to ask me "How did you get those scars?" I'd say things like "Yeah, the signs at the zoo that tell you not to feed the animals, don't ignore them. I did!" That'd usually ease the tension and allow the conversation to move on.

Hello i'm 17 and my foreskin when i am flacid seems to go into my penis then when I become erect the head sticks out a few 'mm's'. I can pull the foreskin back about 1.5cm but then the string attaching the skin to the penis becomes very tight and white showing there is tension. I don't know if this is phimosis or not? thankyou

Hi I don't understand the first few words of your sentence, though if you only get a few mm's exposure, that is technically phimosis if you cannot get the foreskin all the way back over the head. What is causing the limit of exposure? If the foreskin, you need to stretch it. If the 'string' at the back (the frenulum), you need to see your doctor. I am not sure at all about stretching the frenulum - refer to NORM-UK site as well as your doctor for guidance on that. There is an op called a frenuloplasty, though I personally would want a blow-by-blow account of how it is going to be fixed first.

I had this condition when I was in my early twenties when I was heavily into martial arts and used to exercise vigorously, sweating into the cleft of the buttocks with repetitive sit-ups. I appreciate the pain experienced by sufferers with this infection at the base of the spine. I had an operation that involved removing the sinus and cleaning the area before being sutured up. The wound was then protected with further 'tension' sutures sewn using the strong tissue from the buttocks. The healing process was almost as painful as the sinus when it was inflamed as the tension sutures pulled and cut into me as I became more mobile. Unfortunately the sinus recurred and I required further surgery in my mid thirties. The second operation was greatly successful I had a large area opened and cleaned and the area left packed to heal gradually from the inside out using a foam like material which was poured into the wound and reacted to mould into a foam plug. The result was surprisingly painless (I required no analgesia whatsoever post op)however it took several weeks to eventually heal with visits from the district nurse who continued to repack the wound as it healed. The skin tissue of the wound site is more like a scar. Still sited in the area that it is I'm hardly bothered with what it looks like. My advice to others is to continue to have treatment as necessary and get rid of the condition that can be extremely disabling as well as painful.
