I have been suffering with chronic testicular pain for 12 years. Both testicles are ultra sensitive to pressure and chafing, even the vibration of driving a car builds into pain. I have tried all the drugs, acupuncture, hypnotism, nothing works and still no one can tell me what the problem is. The cause has never been diagnosed. I expect to have to quit my job if I can't find a cure. I'm at my limit. Please help!

As a patient of an orchectomy (ball removal) due to constant pain and eventual diagnosis of cancer tumors in my right testicle I will give some advise. First though, my "tumors" we're benign fibroid cysts which were harmless. I eventually found out a major cause of swelling, cysts, and testicular pain is caffeine, and I was a heavy coffee drinker. Found this out when my wife had fibroid cysts in her breasts and the Dr. Wanted to know how much diet coke she drank a day (6). As soon as I went decaf the tenderness and discomfort went away. Good luck to you !

Hello, I'm 16 years old and recently started finding pain in my left testicle. I played football for 2 1/5 hours on Thursday, 1 hour on Friday and 3 hours on Saturday. Sunday was when the pain began and I've tried checking for lumps but there aren't any, just my left testicle is in pain and hurts when i move. I've had it for 2 days and it wont go away. I'm scared if i have testicular cancer because i do have this pain that is very aching and also a small spot has grown on the edge of the lower groin area has appeared near the testicles. I've tried looking online but nothing has met my match and I'm 16 years old and nervous about seeing a doctor. Is anybody out there than can help if so thank you! I'm very appreciative of your help Many thanks

I don't usually check my self but after seeing and hearing the symptoms on a episode I decide to check and notice that similarity. I do experience pain when walking allot, almost like a cold sensation. When I was 14 I had a operation on my testicle to move it from my lower abdomen to my scrotum, my farther had the same procedure. There is no history of testicular cancer in my family but I am still worried. Can anyone help as I am very scared?

The advice your GP gave you about squeezing the tip is exactly right. However, it might be better for you to see a certified sex therapist in order to learn how to squeeze it properly. This is something your partner would need to learn to do also in order help. (Search for A.A.S.E.C.T. to find a certified sex therapist near your location.)

Go see your doctor Tay. Its not as embarrassing when you start talking about it and they can try fix it so it doesn't hurt.

Hello I am a 48 year old who had a singular Orchiectomy 25 years ago and then suffered a testicular benign tumour 12 years ago, which was removed. Been having severe testicular pain, went to doctors who referred me for a ultrasound. The ultrasound came back with a Varicocele. Doctor says it is nothing to worry about and prescribed Ciprofloxacin but pain does not go away. I have now began to bleed, feel the worst stomach cramps and suffer really awful Diarrhea. The pain is so bad, sometimes I can't walk or drive. I am f the view, something more concerning is happening but GP does not think to seem so. Please help

Sorry I was using predictive text and did not check my reply before posting it. It should have been "Why did the male doctor NOT offer Micro surgical De-nerveation of the scrotal content" in the hands of a good Urologist this can be very effective at reducing testicular pain, as a last alternative there are two different types of testicle removal, via the sac or groin depending on symptoms and preference Push for help it can be available if you know about it but the doctors will not tell you about any of these three alternative procedures, you do NOT have to put up with testicular pain !

I appreciate this video. My cousin died at the age of 24 from testicular cancer. In the USA, where I am from, people don't talk enough about testicular cancer. And you will never see a lesson in giving a testicular self-exam on television -- not even the news. Sure we have seen endless amounts of bare female breasts and breast exams on the news and in TV shows and movies (I remember Meredith Baxter bared her breasts in a TV movie), but nothing for testicular cancer. I wear the pink ribbon in support of breast cancer... I wear it on my pants to also remind people of testicular cancer.

I am a physiotherapist and was a bit concerned that the gentleman featured in the show with testicular pain was sent for pain management. Obviously it's important to rule out local causes of testicular pain but if all these tests prove negative the next port of call should be a musculoskeletal assessment. As mentioned on another posting, the lumbar spine can refer pain tho the testicles (commonly no back pain is felt). Another angle that should be explored is trigger points, these are hyperirritable spots within muscles and there are muscles in the stomach and pelvic area that refer pain to the testicles and / or penis. These are simple to treat and could prevent years of pain. Try searching online for 'trigger points testicle' and you'll find a wealth of information.

Hi Darryl, I have no personal experience of testicular cancer and I'm not a medical person so I can't offer a medical opinion. My personal opinion is that the combination of a small lump in one testicle, the hurting sensation from it, and the pain in the abdomen is enough to warrant a visit to the doctor, to be on the safe side. For further info and a big forum, an excellent website devoted to testicular cancer is TC-Cancer - Testicular Cancer Information & Support at www.tc-cancer.com. This website has lots of information on testicular cancer including symptoms, and there are some very active forums and a chat room. The direct link to their forums index page is www.tc-cancer.com/forum/index.php. Cheers and good luck :) Ed.

Hi, I had testicular cancer in 2008, had my left testicle removed and since then I have been involved in raising awareness and funds for testicular cancer. I would be really interested in knowing if I could get hold of a testicular/scrotal model that we can use in our awareness work. I am sure I saw you using one of these on the show. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks Jase

I have trouble with painful erections after my first orgasm. And the most orgasms I can have is two. After which erections become excruciating. The pain is located mainly at the base of the phallus along the sides. Also if I am erect for extended periods of time without ejaculation, it becomes testicular. Sometimes after I've had caffeine drinks or straining a bit on the toilet. Even sudden bouts of stress or anger causes pain. Sometimes strenous activity like playing basketball or bursts of running. I have had UTI's in the past which I know can cause scarring of testicular vesicles but I'm unsure if this could be the case. It is greatly affecting my sex life, as it limits the length of my lovemaking not withstanding foreplay. Please give me some or any advice on what treatment I should seek.

One important correction..... My husband was diagnosed with testicular cancer about 6 months ago and he went to the doc because he had pain. So cancer CAN hurt!!!!!!!!!!! 3 months post chemo and he's doing great. He's cancer free. It's treatable. His urologist said he'd rather have testicular cancer than a heart attack. ;). It's a scary thing but early detection is important so all of you out there- go see urologist!

In mean time we started investig. and afer coule session with physio theapist, and going back to doctors(trouble is he seen different doctors, and they are tellig him differnet story and we dont whee we stand, who to trust) they find it is probably infection. Excatly they said: knee spermatic cord is thickened and demonstrates dilaation of the intra-cord ductal tubules which extend down to the epididymys. He got antibiotics of CIPLOX 750 for 2 weeks, but seems to be not working. We are also waiting for MRI SCAN. We dont know what to do?Can you help us??

See a doctor ASAP. If it is cancer, you may lose both of testicles.

I will try to see the doctor, however I saw my GP and he said that those pain can be normal because within the age, males are developing in their testicles the testorestoe or it can be caused often by penis growing

I had the same. One removed and the other also hurts from time to time. They dont pick up any cancer signs but the pain comes and go. They say above that testicular cancer causes no pain. I STRINGLY DISAGREE. My testicle with the tumour kept me up with sooo much pain every night which would come back during the day causing this uncomftable dull pain that goes down your leg. Tell your bf to go see a doctor and insist on a scan. No physical as the tumor on the tubes can only benpicked up by ultrasound.

I have testicular pain on only1 the pain runs from the left testicle to like upper part of my hip I feel the pain runs through a vain ! I drive a lot so the pain gets worse when I hold the steering shell with my left hand! I feel I put pressure of my left part of my body! It happened before but lo g ago whe I was on my late 20's now I'm 43 and suddenly the pain came back!

I have the same pain; it starts in my left ball moving up on the left hand side of my body to around a few inches left of my belly button. Doesn't hurt much but does cause discomfort especially at night time. I had it last year for about 3-4 months. I went to see the doctor several times, had ultrasound, x-ray, etc, and they could not diagnose it. I've looked online and cannot find an explanation either. I'm married, have an active sex life with my wife only plus use condoms.

I'm 16 and recently I have experienced a sharp pain in my right testicle. This has just came out of the blue, but the pain comes quite frequently and it almost 'stings' me. It is only in my right testicle and I was wondering if this was a symptom of testicular cancer. I don't know what to do. Please help.
