I have a large volume of red thread vins on my cheeks. I have had years a go argon laser, needle tracing and ended up with 3rd degree burns(laser) and more veins. I then had pulse dye laser the whole face which was great, however a year later I had a mild peel and believe the epidermis hadnt healed and all the veins came back to surface. It is most unsightly and now am looking to eliminate them again but do want a qualified doctor to either do the pulse dye or to give me advise and subsequent treatment. I am in Essex and would be happy to travel to Ldn if necessary Can you please recommend anyone.

I just went to the Cambridge skin and laser clinic - not too far from Essex? Run by a qualified doctor. He was great.

I'm female, 23 and have clusters of veins around the sides of both my knees which are blue/purple in colour. They don't bulge or hurt, but they're not very nice to look at! I have tried covering them up with make up, but because they are round a joint the make up sticks in the creases and slides off. I don't know what they are, and I know I should go to my GP and get them diagnosed properly but the earliest appointment I could have is for in 7 weeks time. I think they might be early varicose veins, my dad had them round his knees (he had them treated when I was a months old), and so did his mum. They are really getting me down, especially now we're coming into summer and it's too hot to be wearing 60 denier black tights. My family and friends all say you can't notice them from a distance, but I think they might just be saying that because they don't want to upset me any more than I already am. I'm absolutely dreading going on holiday in August because I know everyone is going to be looking at my horrible legs. Please help! Has anyone got any solutions to make them less unsightly?

Can protruding veins on forehead be treatable? My problem is when i smile, i have two bulging veins that sticks out from my forehead, looks horrible and its really getting me down. ALways need to cover with a fringe, can never pin it all back due to the veins as people will notice and stare. I would say these are close to varicose veins and desperately want to get them treated as ive lived with this for a number of years. Never noticed them when i was young, and now im 32 its probably due to exercising over the years that caused it to rise to the surface of my skin. Really need some advice, so please help if you can. Thank you.

Hi I've always had broken veins all over my legs and also I have very veiny boobs and arms :( is there not anything you can do about this? I know there are treatments for broken veins but what about these deep blue veins on my boobs and top of my arms! I'm so self conscious about it.

Lauren, have a chat to specialists in this field.. Start with a Doctor see why it is the way it is and not a condition elsewhere.. Blood flow ect.... Then ask him about specialist that deal with this cosmetically once you know medically you are ok...Also, try using Pharmacies for advice for cover ups creams.. I use a non greasy bronzer on my legs as I have spiders all over one leg..and that works a treat for me, so much so I am contented with that level pro activeness..

I'm 16 and I am a 32DD, but recently my boobs have got purple/red veins on them. Are they still growing? Or are they spider veins? If so, how can I get rid of them??

I have tiny veins on my cheeks which I really have had enough with. They aren't varicouse - I think they are thread or spider veins. I'm 25 years old and must have had them since I was about 20. I have spent a fortune on make up to try and cover them up but wondered if I went to the doctors would they just tell me to get on with it? Is there any treatment?

I have thread veins on my face, i've had one treatment of V. Beauty all over my face. I had some success mainly with the purple veins but a lot of my red veins remained. 3 years on im thinking of repeating this treatment to see if it would be a success, before considering laser treatment which is more abrasive. What do you think is the best course of action V.Beauty or laser? As i don't have money to waste. Any feedback is appreciated. Tina

Hi there I am 22 years old and have big veins running through both of my legs. Due to my job I stand all day long very briefly being able to sit down. Both my legs swell up quite big, they get very sore and very tender to touch. In the evenings my legs get very twitchy and almost feel like pins and needles and trickling sensation. Over the past few months the veins have got a lot bigger and spread out more. They also feel very heavy. I have been to see my gp I have tried tight socks but they made the veins stick out more. I drink plenty of water and regularly go to gym and have a dog so I do go walking a lot. I have even been told by a gp to use ibuleve gel which I even said wouldn't work! Is there anything I can do? I never was bothered about the look of them but they are getting bigger and more painful now.

Hi, I have thread veins on both legs (top and bottom)- I have tried laser treatment at a beauty salon but it did not touch the veins. They are really unsightly and they feel bruised. They look like April's do in the video. My doctors say there is nothing that can be done. I feel really embarrassed and self-conscious of my legs, especially when I put my swimming costume on - on holiday or just taking the children swimming. I am in my 30's and I have had really old and unsightly looking legs for at least 15 years. Any advice would be great.

I have unsightly blue veins near my ankles that get worse in summer I'm only 28 I've had these since having my son when I was 18 I also have lots of red spider veins on my legs. I've been to the GP but they don't see this as an issue and say its only cosmetic. I'm sure they can be treated, how can I get this done?

Im waitng to get my varicose veins done on the NHS. Should i ask if there is anything he can do?

I have varicose veins in both my legs, top and bottom, although they do not cause me any discomfort at present (54yrs old, female)only now and again, they are so unsightly. I can never wear a skirt or go swimming/holiday they are so horrible to look at. My question is, will they just keep getting worse and as daft as it sounds, have I sufficient veins!!. Surely they will eventually stop circulation/getting to the heart, won't they?

Hello, I was really amazed by the vein treatment. Please can you advise where I could have this done, how much it costs and how long does it last. I have thread/spider veins on my left thigh at the top and have had these since the age of 14 (now 44!). Both my father, brother and sister all have these veins in exactly the same location so presume they are hereditary. They don't cause me too many problems, but occasionally if someone brushes against me they are sensitive. More unsightly than anything and would love to have the treatment as I won't wear a expose my legs in the summer. Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks

I have a mass of superficial veins on my lower left leg and several thread veins on my lower right leg. They are so unsightly that I feel I cannot wear a skirt or shorts and as they are quite low down on my left leg, even cropped trousers are not ideal. I have tried lazar treatment and would consider having more. I would like to know if there is any other sorts of treatment that may help get rid of them. I would like to know where to go for treatment also (I live in Coventry)

I have suffered from ugly and unsightly varicose veins in both legs since the age of 11. I underwent surgery in both legs when I was 21 and 22. I am now 27 and more veins have appeared in both legs which leaves them feeling achy, heavy and increadably itchy. I dont know what to do anymore and my confidence is so low. I am hesitant to undergo further surgery as I still have the scars from the previous surgeries. I really want to get rid of them so that I can wear skirts and shorts in the summer but I dont know what other options I have left. Please please help.

Hi, I really need your help! I have VERY unsightly varicose veins on both my legs with a particularly bad area on the front of my right leg. I get pain in my leg and sometimes pins and needles and numbness in my foot. I am 33 with two beautiful children but I am always feeling down with my legs. I cover up and never wear skirts or anything that may show my veins. I so desperately want to have my legs out on show and wear all the sexy summer dresses that are about instead of frumpy clothes. Please please help me, I just want to have confidence in myself and not have the pain and discomfort. Thank you

Hi I'm 24 years old and have had varicose veins and spider veins on the back of my legs since age 16. They are very unsightly and have worsened over the years. They are itchy and throb when I stand or sit for too long. My feet also turn purple very quickly because of them. I always cover my legs and the thought of swim suits is unbearable. I have tried using leg foundation to cover them but the bulging is very obvious. What is the best form of treatment for these? Is surgery the only effective option? Also, is it worth my while getting them removed before I have children? Please help!!! My doctors have dismissed it as a cosmetic problem and ignore the discomfort and pain caused by them.
