Hello, I am 35 years old and for the last 5 month I have had discharge from my penis, above all in the morning. I have been with my partner for the last 5 years and I have never cheated on her, so I don't think it could be an S.T.I. Everything began with urethral itching (which lasted for only a couple of days) and the discharge began after 4/5 days. There are no symptoms like pain or burning sensation while urinating. I explained everything to my doctor and he made me having 3 urine tests (all negative. They found only some white cells), a course of antibiotic for 7 days and an S.T.I. test (for chlamydia and gonorrhea) which was negative. After five months I still have this problem going on and I don't know what to think. Can you help me, please?

Maybe yeast problem? Could try going without bread/sugars for a week or so, see if it helps... I think there is a candida diet guide online.

Sorry for posting this again. I feel like I didn't give enough information. I'm 15 and two days ago I noticed it hurt to touch under the flaps or whatever around my vagina. I do masturbate and sometimes after urinating I will forget to wipe if I am in a hurry. The next day I looked with a mirror and there was thick, white discharge around the urethral opening and around the opening of my vagina. I noticed inside it is very pale (I don't know if that's normal or not) and there is a milky discharge coming out. It also itches but doesn't hurt that much anymore. I'm too scared and embarrassed to talk to my mom about it and going to a doctor will make me very uncomfortable. Help?

It sounds like it is thrush to me, very common and nothing to be embarrassed about. It would be best to speak to your mum or see your doctor to confirm that it is that and they should be able to give you a cream to soothe the itching (I can guarantee doctors see it all the time and almost every woman gets thrush at one point) hope that helps!

I am 22 years old and have been sexually active for a number of years. However, where my labia comes together towards the bottom of the vagina is actually around the urethral opening rather than the vaginal opening, and so I have a section of stretchy flesh over both the urethral and vaginal openings. This means that in order for anything to be inserted into the vagina it has to go in the entrance of this flesh (by the urethra), be pushed backwards towards the vagina, then pushed up into the opening. This causes pain during sex as the penis rubs on this flesh a lot and I lose tampons on a regular basis. I also have an enlarged and asymmetrical labia. Does anyone else have anything like this? Might I need to have surgery?

My penis has an air/fluid inflated ball (size of a peanut) at one side of the urethral opening of the glans. No pain no itchiness. Not sure since when I have it, but certainly for some years. Is it fatal? I appreciate your feedback.

Hello, I am 15 and have had an enlarged labia and it seemed to first start getting bigger when I was around 12/13 years old. I hate the look of it down there, and my inner lips are always together, this might sound weird but sometimes it feels like my vagina can't breath.. Often there are also white/creamy specks down there, I think they are coming out of my urethral opening and I don't know what they are.. Can someone help, please!?

I too have an enlarged labia, i first noticed it during puberty, at your age. i never felt comfortabale in tight jeans etc , i thougt it was something that happened during puberty. not so when I saw pornographic labia, i felt abnormal and hid myself from my boyfriend, soon to be husband. He couldnt understand it, he thought I was beautiful and in the end thats all that mattered. But im still at times very shy at showing my labia to my husband. Of courae he doesnt care, and loves me and everything about me. men do not care what it looks like , they love you and everything that goes with you. I asked him if i could get surgery to cortrect the portruding labia, he gave me an almighty no!

It sounds like a urethral prolapse... Have a google...

Hi, I'm a 26 year old female and have had the same sexual partner for 8 months. We have regular sex and he sometimes makes me squirt clear, odourless liquid from my urethra by roughly pressing on the front wall of my vagina. He did this two days ago, followed the next day by quite a long session of sexual intercourse. I then noticed yesterday that I had constant, clear vaginal discharge. At first I though it was the urethral stuff I get during sex, but it's definitely vaginal. I have visited the loo since, my knickers have been soaked. There's no odour, it's just normal discharge but loads of it! I have just woken up and there is a wet patch in the bed. Could rough sex have caused swelling which is pushing on the glands? The only other thing which is different is that my doctor prescribed antibiotics last week for recurring UTIs (although I am currently clear of one), I have just been taking one Trimethoprim tablet after sexual intercourse - I've taken about 5 tablets in the last 8 days. I'm on the pill but have been for years so nothing has changed in that regard. Does excessive, odourless, clear discharge seem like anything to worry about in this case? If it continues it's definitely going to be annoying!

I'm 15 years old, and theres something wrong down there. My urethral opening (not my vaginal or anything) is all on the outside of my body in a way, and looks gross. I'm a virgin, and I'm not planning on having sex anytime soon, but when the time comes I'm afraid I'll seem like a weirdo or the guy will be mean or something and tell everyone, and its really embarrassing. It never stings or hurts, and I've never been sore other than the period (but of course thats normal) Mine looks mostly like 5 10 11 17.

Of course not if you are still a virgin. The vagina comes in all different shapes and sizes. You can't control how it looks but you can control how you take care of it. 34-F. Not a Dr. Have a Blessed Day!

I am 66 and have been referred for Trans urethral resection of the Penis (TURP) to assist with poor flow of urine arising from enlarged prostate. I have been told this will have the side effect of retrograde ejaculation. Is there any procedure which will avoid this?

Generally the answer is no. Retrograde ejaculation is the most common side effect of a TURP. Some physicians believe in muscle exercises or other ways to minimize it and have some sperm ejaculate normally, but almost all doctors will counsel patients that it is what it is. So you will have to adjust to it. For men, especially in their 60s, not seeing the sperm ejaculate out is not only a medical issue, but a psycho-social issue as well. The feeling of advancing age and "things going downhill" when you cannot see it shoot out is real, and in some men may cause deep depression. It is best to see a mental health professional as needed for these instances. It is least worrisome for married men who have been with their partners for decades. For them, it is an issue that couple can talk through. For single men, embarrassment can happen during sex. It is important to remember to the man still gets an erection, and still feels an orgasm - only at the end of the event there will be no sperm or only a few drops. In reality, some men who were concerned now look at the advantages, particularly if the man is masturbating or is gay - no rag or cloth needed for clean up! The major issue of course for men who are still desiring of an opportunity to be a father. In most instances this won't be possible now. But in any instance of concern or worry, a medical physician ( urologist or sexual health professional) should be consulted.

It isn't normal. Are you engaging in urethral play during sex at all? Otherwise certainly worth going back to the doctor to get it checked. STI screen isn't hard to do either. (worth getting yourself checked too if you're concerned)

I have a tiny bit of flesh between the urethral orifice and vagina, it kinda pokes out, it feels and looks natural but desnt look it, it looks like a mini tongue almost, its tiny, like 0.2cm long but im wrried, is this uncommon but normal and safe, had it forever. Diagrams dont help D:

Hi. I have found two websites which are helpful. One is the COB Foundation which has a chat room The other is www.thebladderclinic.co.uk (which is based in Birmingham). There is a top Urologist called Mr Z Almallah there who deals with the problem of IC - hope you find these sites of some help. I have not yet formally been diagnosed with IC but feel I may have this condition. I've just had a cystoscopy with bladder and urethral distension and am hoping this treatment may help me.

Hi I am a 58year old lady who is having real problems with painful sex, due I am told to a urethral caruncle. Could you please help me here as I am a bit confused after consulting the internet. I have tried lubricants as I am very dry in my vagina. Please help as my long suffering, lovely husband is feeling very deprived. I love the show and I am sure it will help many people who are embarrassed to talk about their problems.

I'm 58 and suddenly have found that just when I'm about to climax I have a desperate need to pee and can't stop it! I have to stop the orgasm straight away and it's really frustrating. It's happened 3 times now and I am really afraid it's going to happen again. I enjoy self pleasuring as it helps me to sleep and I don't want to stop doing it, but I'm scared now as I keep wetting the bed! I am wondering if it is a bladder or urethral prolapse, as it has never happened before, just in the last week or 10 days. Please help!

Hi, I think I have a prolapsed urethral tube. I saw a Gynaecologist 12 months ago for post menopausal bleeding and he decided to put silver nitrate on it to try and shrink it. (ouch, ouch, ouch). Anyway it didn't work. I can often feel it there like sometimes when I sit down, when I go to get in a sitting position from lying down, when I go to stand up from sitting. Riding my bike is a biggie and I have to be very very careful how I sit on the seat. Is there anything I can do? Thankyou.

I have a 16 year old daughter who started developing UTI's at birth, we found that she needed a urethral re-implant at aged 18 months. Since then, she has had hundreds of uti's, and infection is usually in her bladder. She has practically lived on anti biotics and ended up aged ten being unable to leave our house - bathroom! Doctors sent us away saying nothing was wrong as they could not see anything on x rays, but she has now been left with no feeling that she needs to void, but she can actually void, would this fall into Fowlers Syndrome category?
