I have a few concerns that I don't know if I should worry about or not. Please help me. -Painful Intercourse. Me and my boyfriend can't have sex because it hurts me so bad. It burns very bad. And it's gotten worse. I am not too dry and neither of us have any STDs. -Bleeding during Intercourse. I bled really bad a few times very randomly. One time it was just him fingering me. Two times after that was during sex. Not to rough or anything. Wasn't related to my period. -Painful Urination. When I pee it hurts. But it's not the urinating itself that hurts towards the end of my pee there's a needle sharp pain that comes from my vagina. Not every time but most of the time. -Bumps in vaginal canal. I don't know if this is normal or not. I've read that it is but also that it could be a concern. Both my boyfriend and I have felt bumps in my vaginal canal. They are decent sized bumps and are higher up in the canal. (We just discovered this recently which is why I'm worried) -Vaginal Discharge. since I was younger I've always had discharge. Don't know if it's normal or not, assuming it is. But lately it's a lot more and it has a sort of yellow tint and a strong odor. -Pain in ovaries. I have been having bad pressure pains near my ovaries. Sometimes it's sharp pain. -Frequent Urination. I have been peeing a lot! Like 5-10 times a day and that is not normal for me! I'm not sure if all these symptoms are related but all I can think of is cancer cancer cancer. And id like to get this out of my head. Should I be worried?

I would see my GP as soon as possible. You seem to have a lot going on and are very worried about it. Even just to put your mind at rest you should see someone...And don't be palmed off. Be assertive tell them all of your symptoms and ask lots of questions. No one should have to endure all of the discomfort you describe, but if you don't have it investigated you will just continue to worry. Please see your GP soon and let them put your mind at rest. Thoughts are with you.

about for days ago I noticed that my vaginal area was a bit sore , so I felt to see what was wrong and it only felt like my hole was sore , this irritation has now spread throughout my vaginal area , there is redness, irritable itching(almost like I want to scratch , but as soon as I stop scratching the pain gets worse!), I also noticed that my clit is very swollen! What creams do I use and how do I get rid of it?

This sounds very much like my symptoms, I had two large babies a couple of years apart and after the second birth when I tried to do the pelvic floor exercises I couldn't feel a thing, I more or less gave up with them. A year on and I noticed a small red ball protruding at the back end of my vagina, I could feel it when wiping myself and could sort of push it back in. I also would leak wee and often feel an urgency like I was going to wet myself. I went to the dr who said it was a vaginal prolapse and the red ball was my bladder. I got referred to a gynaecologist who said operating was an option but as so young to have this complaint (35) they'd like to try some special physio first. I ended up having 6 months of gynae physio where I was taught to do the pelvic floor exercises properly (I'd been doing them incorrectly anyway!!) and learnt about how to change the habits of my bladder and have had to stop doing some exercises like running and any abdominal exercise which in turn have all helped. I'm still working on strengthening my pelvic floor but don't have now what's considered a prolapse so no more physio. The waiting list on the NHS for my area was 18 months, I enquired about private treatment and after the gynaecologist consultation the physio was £40 per session, it cost in total about £450. If you can afford it it's worth looking into. Hope this is of help, definitely speak to your gp and find out what options and help are available x

Go to a urogynocologist.. I am 57 and 3 days ago had surgery for vaginal and rectal prolapse. Happy to have it overwith. It is embarrassing but do you really want to put up with it for the rest of your life? Expect a pelvic and rectal exam . Possibly a vaginal and rectal ultrasound. Then i. had a recital test that measured strength of rectal muscles and awareness of bowel pressure. I just kept telling myself that all of these tests would make surgery more successful. Pain after surgery compares tp pain and soreness after a vaginal delivery. Not too bad at all.

Hello. I'm 24 and I had my first baby September 20, 2013 via emergency c - section due to Placental Abruption. Hi, I am 17 and I have been having trouble with vaginal dryness when having sex. I also suffer from pain when my boyfriend puts his penis inside me its like burning pain and it really hurts. After sex I end up with small tears around my vaginal entrance. I also have a white/yellowish discharge which is very thick and irritates me at times. It has a slight smell to it as well. I have been tested at my gum clinic and do not have any STI's and i've been treated many times for thrush and still the symptoms do not get any better. My GP says i have a healthy looking vagina and I really don't know what else to do... please help

*i forgot to add that i have the implant in my arm which i've had for about 9/10 months now.

I am 18 and have been with my boyfriend for a almost a year now, we never had any problems before but I am now experiencing exactly what you have descrived and have no idea what the problem is. I to have been tested for STI's and so has my boyfriend and our results have always been negative. Also iv had thrush a lot and no matter how many times I'm treated I still have the thick white discharge. Sex is painful for me and sometimes my boyfriend because I dry up during intercourse. After sex iv experianced cuts at each side to the enterance of my vagina. These have heeled fine but now I swell up in the area where they were after intercourse and it takes at least 45 minutes to an hour for the swelling to go down. I also feel burning during intercours and sometimes it can burn so much that my boyfriend will start to feel the burning on his penis threw the condom. I assume the burning is from the friction with it being dry but I still have no idea why its so dry. The dryness started recently after my thrush got really bad. I treated it twice with a pesstery each time from the doctors and still have the problem.

I've suffered the same, except no dryness. With my last partner I tore for the first time after 2 months together and continued to tear from then on. I'm STD free and although the nurses tested me for thrush (as apparently I have suspicious discharge) it has always comes back clear too. I'm always fine at the beginning of sex but it burns at the end, especially when semen comes into contact with him. I've since read up on BV and I think it's likely I have it. I don't like taking too many anitbiotics so instead I ordered an internal gel from a gyno and my doctor also prescribed an eostrogen cream. They both seem to have helped but it's worth noting that I was using the eostrogem cream for 2 months before the BV cream and there was no change, only once I started using the BV gel was there a change. I feel like my tear might actually be healing fully now! After sex my discharge always smelt fishy which I attributed to the semen but apparently this isn't normal, it's because the semen has changed the PH in your vagina which leads to the smell and BV, which I attribute my tear to.

    Oh, and I'm only 23.

It's quite possible that the implant is making it hard to have sex, different contraceptives can behave differently in people because it changes the bodies chemicals. I had been sexually active for two years and went on the injection and I stopped being able to have sex it ruined my relationship. I asked my doctor and she but me on to the combined pill and everything is back to normal and I can have nice normal non hurting sex. Discharge is very normal lots of people get it I've had it since about 11 and its never stopped since its just the vagina cleaning itself out, it's normal for it to have a slight musky smell.

Hi all. I am forty, never had any children, never had a hysterectomy and i think that I have a vaginal prolapse. Something kind of knobbly is protruding from my vagina. I have had to self medicate for vaginal thrush on loads of times as initially all of the syptoms seemed to fit. Sex with my fiancé is excruciating, and as the lump grows larger I am experiencing pain around the vaginal opening. I have a dr's appointment on Friday (19th) and what is most important for both of us is that we can still have children as we are getting married next June. If we cannot have children....then that is the end of the road for me.....PLease do tell me that I am not going insane?

    Hymen remnants . Completely normal:)

I have been with my husband for four years and in the last three years I have noticed a loss of desire for sex, but mainly pain during and after sex. I have been tested for STI's which I don't have. I have skin irritation and used aqueaous cream to wash my vagina. I can only wear cotton underwear but still find that this makes me sore. I often sweat between my legs and get vaginal discharge. It hurts to pee after sex and deep penetration is painful too, often resulting in tears of the vaginal opening. Please help me to understand and treat this as I am only 24 and would like a normal active and pain free sex life.

Cystitis - drink water and cranberry juice

I was diagnosed with VB after I went to the doctor about burning pain when being penetrated to the point where it was unbearable. I was then put on medication for three days but now I have the same burning pain constantly around the opening of the vagina and labia. It's extremely uncomfortable and I haven't had vaginal pain like this before, especially after it's been 'treated'. What could be the cause of this?

I was reviewing old ct scans of mine which said I have an enterovaginal fistula and an bladder/vaginal fistula. No one ecertion me it was also noted in a cr scan from 2013. I'm seeing a urogyn for consultation and it was very hard to find a doctor who even knew what a fistula was. All I know is I have had extreme vaginal and vulval pain and infections for years it is so bad they can't get a speculum inside of me. What can I expect?

For about 3 months now I have had pain during vaginal intercourse, I've never experienced pain sex before this and now I get a burning sensation during penetration! I've been to the doctors and the tests came back as all clear but I still have the problem! What shall I do?

I suffer with a pain in the vaginal area from morning until night. sometimes it feels worse with added searing pain like a heated curling iron being inserted. I am getting lower back pain right side, cannot stand over 30minutes or walk any distance without worsening pain. Sexual intercourse is extremely painful especially the next day and is the same way after a bowel movement. After a bowel movement next day extreme pain and frequent urinatiion. Cannot live my life like this. Please help, newly married and want intimacy. 54yrs

This condition can be can be helped by using a local anaesthetic gel (instilagel, available as prescrition from G.P.) inside and around the vaginal area during sexual intercourse to relieve any painful symptoms during sex. I was diagnosed when attending Gynaecology clinic with the pain and was lucky to be seen by a doctor who had seen this condition before. The severity of pain varies, at times you are pain free and able to have intercourse, but other times when the pain is too much the gel is useful.

Hello everyone, I'm 28 years old and have had three vaginal deliveries, my youngest child is two. About two wks ago, I got an extremely bad cold which made me have a lot of heavy coughing.. now there is something protruding from my vagina! It's about th size of an egg.. Before this, my sex life was amazing and I had no genital problems, now sex is painful, I cannot get wet and my husband goes unsatisfied as well... I also have incontinence when I cough and my vicks aches as well as lower back pain.. These symptoms seem to point to a vaginal prolapse but without insurance I have no doctor :( Any advice??

OMG what a nightmare back & forward to my drs one cream after another nothing worked sex was painful leaving me with little tears which were very painful, magazines ect only say vaginal dryness is a symptom of the menopause but they never tell you what to do about it except using lube well that is not enough it does not stop the cuts & pain & depression when you cant have sex with your husband it is a much bigger subject and problem that is never discussed properly i have now been given vagifem tablets to insert everyday for 2 weeks and cream then twice a week for 4 months by a gyncologist she says i have vaginal atrophy will this work who knows only on week 3 but will be shouting from the roof tops if it does watch this space lol
