Can protruding veins on forehead be treatable? My problem is when i smile, i have two bulging veins that sticks out from my forehead, looks horrible and its really getting me down. ALways need to cover with a fringe, can never pin it all back due to the veins as people will notice and stare. I would say these are close to varicose veins and desperately want to get them treated as ive lived with this for a number of years. Never noticed them when i was young, and now im 32 its probably due to exercising over the years that caused it to rise to the surface of my skin. Really need some advice, so please help if you can. Thank you.

Hi I've always had broken veins all over my legs and also I have very veiny boobs and arms :( is there not anything you can do about this? I know there are treatments for broken veins but what about these deep blue veins on my boobs and top of my arms! I'm so self conscious about it.

Lauren, have a chat to specialists in this field.. Start with a Doctor see why it is the way it is and not a condition elsewhere.. Blood flow ect.... Then ask him about specialist that deal with this cosmetically once you know medically you are ok...Also, try using Pharmacies for advice for cover ups creams.. I use a non greasy bronzer on my legs as I have spiders all over one leg..and that works a treat for me, so much so I am contented with that level pro activeness..

I'm 16 and I am a 32DD, but recently my boobs have got purple/red veins on them. Are they still growing? Or are they spider veins? If so, how can I get rid of them??

I have tiny veins on my cheeks which I really have had enough with. They aren't varicouse - I think they are thread or spider veins. I'm 25 years old and must have had them since I was about 20. I have spent a fortune on make up to try and cover them up but wondered if I went to the doctors would they just tell me to get on with it? Is there any treatment?

I have thread veins on my face, i've had one treatment of V. Beauty all over my face. I had some success mainly with the purple veins but a lot of my red veins remained. 3 years on im thinking of repeating this treatment to see if it would be a success, before considering laser treatment which is more abrasive. What do you think is the best course of action V.Beauty or laser? As i don't have money to waste. Any feedback is appreciated. Tina

Hi there I am 22 years old and have big veins running through both of my legs. Due to my job I stand all day long very briefly being able to sit down. Both my legs swell up quite big, they get very sore and very tender to touch. In the evenings my legs get very twitchy and almost feel like pins and needles and trickling sensation. Over the past few months the veins have got a lot bigger and spread out more. They also feel very heavy. I have been to see my gp I have tried tight socks but they made the veins stick out more. I drink plenty of water and regularly go to gym and have a dog so I do go walking a lot. I have even been told by a gp to use ibuleve gel which I even said wouldn't work! Is there anything I can do? I never was bothered about the look of them but they are getting bigger and more painful now.

I'm 49 and I have spider veins on my legs. Also on the back of my left leg the veins are very dark and appear to be almost at the surface of the skin. Are these varicose veins? They are not thick nor hurt. Can something been done for these veins and also for the spider veins?

This is the only field that I can find with the meansion of veins. I don't have varicose veins, just really blue noticable veins that run across my breasts. It's quite emarassing sometime because you can see them from quite far away and in the dark too! My boyfriend doesnt mind but I do, and as I'm going abroad with him I want to be able to wear a bikini and feel good about my breasts as apart from the veins they're great!! I hope there is something that can be done, or some really amazing long lasting waterproof concealer!! Thanks

I keep seeing all these posts where the writer has had their veins stripped or treated in some way. I go swimming every week and suffer huge embarrassment every time. I have never seen anybody at the pool with veins that bulge, let alone with veins as bad as my own. I went to the doctor and showed her the veins where they go all the way up my legs and ACROSS my thigh, under my buttock and over - they all bulge, they are all twisted and they are all very obvious - my doctor said I would not get them treated by the NHS because they are not bad enough! How do other people get them treated???? Please help.

UM the only thing I can thing is that doctors didnt cut those veins very well, or is just pshicologycal bcs when I have it I thought oh I have on the right one too,but I didnt have on the right one so it was on my mind only. also my veins never grow again on my left so is hard to think how this is happenning to you.if I were you I would take a lot of time at least a couple years to make sure those veins are really growing is that is happening then you should see a urologist.

I'm 65 and have suffered varicous veins for about 10 years+ in my legs, they now apprear to have moved further upwards and feel like they have reached my vagina, I have noticed swollen veins in the lips of my vagina and they are very painful, I also feel like my whole organs are going to drop from me.could these veins be varicous?

Hi, I'm 18 and in the past week or so I've noticed the veins at the side of my knee and at the back of my leg above my knee have become very noticeable and raised. I haven't noticed this before and just now I had pain at the back of my leg where these veins are. My mum had an operation when she was younger because of what sounds like practically the same issue, which seems to have resolved her problem with varicose veins. They look dreadful and I have no idea what to do about it, any advice?

I had my first varicose vein around ten, i had it removed when i was 19. Since then the came back with vengence in both legs and i had an operation to strip both legs last june [I am 33]. The doctor forgot one of the veins, I had 3 infections and even now my scars are still dark pink and prominent. I have new veins coming up, and even after all that I went through I would still have it done again as I just want to be able to wear skirts or dresses like a lad should [I have never been able to due to embarassment]. I have broken veins all over my legs, and more just keep appearing all the time. I have the legs of an old lady. I also constantly get restless legs [dont know if this is anything to do with this or not].

2 months ago, I woke up to find green lines covering my legs as if someone had drawn on me with a felt tip. I went to my GP and was diagnosed with early onset varicose veins covering both of my legs and I'm only 27! She said it was nothing to worry about and a natural part of the ageing process! I've bought support stockings from M&S which I wear everyday at work (I'm a teacher), I've started walking everyday and elevating my legs when I get home yet 3 of the veins have now developed small lumps - which I'm told are the broken valves of the veins - and my calf is now blue with all the veins appearing all within weeks. After repeated trips to the docs I'm told it's just one of those things! I'm worried about the quick speed these veins seem to be developing and as I haven't had children yet, how bad they will get during future pregnancies not to mention as I get older. At 27, it seems a long time to have to suffer with these without any support from the NHS.

Hi, i have had problems with my left thigh for some time. I have always had spider veins since i was 12 but recently i have developed large lumy veins on my thigh, back of knee and calf (my leg looks like the map of britain when i go for a run!) i have been seeing a physio for 6 weeks for a femoral nerve irritation. However i am not convinced that the pain isnt comming from the veins. I am only 27, fit and healthy and they are making me quite upset. I work as a nurse so i know that being on my feet doesnt help. Im pretty sure my GP will not be intereted in offering me treatment - is there anything i can do??

I had nasty varicose veins in my legs removed about 5 years ago. However, I now have a load of smaller veins and some DREADFUL thread veins not helped by the fact that I work in a shop. I'm wondering how much it's going to cost to have them removed by lazer surgery. I'm 61 although all the other people who've written in seem to be a lot younger! I walk a lot and go to pilates. I intend retiring shortly as I realise I'm in the wrong job.I wear hideous support tights and feel like an old Granny (and I'm not one yet)!

I am 32 and have had varicose veins in my right leg since i was 10yrs old.I had them stripped once and also had 2 other operations, but they still look really bad. Do you recommend injections for the veins? I do get alot of aching in my leg.

I too had my veins on my right leg stripped twice,as a young girl i always wore high heels.I started a family when i was 18 and always had comments on how nice my legs were, now i never wear skirts as im always conscious of my veins. The operations never worked,im now reaching 50 but i still have nice legs but im sad that i cant wear skirts.I even tried putting foundation over them but during the walking they would expose themselves again, then the pain would start again, like my leg was in a vice getting tighter and tighter.I then would elevate my leg and the pain would go,you could litraly see the veins go back to normal

hey, i think i have thread veins on my legs for quite a while now. my mum and dad both have varicose veins, and i was wondering if this could have been passed down from them?
