Hi, Could you please let me know if the small black dots in verrucas are called seeds and is it these that are picked up by another person giving them the verrucas. Kind regards, Keith.
I had a small cluster of verrucas on my left foot and I used bazuka. They don't hurt, but I can clearly see the circles and they are fairly hard skinned. Are these just scars or do you think there is still a trace of the verrucas? What should I do? I can't easily go to the doctor's as I am living abroad. I have had these for about 2-3 years now.
I have the exact same problem, what is making mine improve slightly is using a scalpel to remove the hard skin and then using cream to moisturise it. It doesn't get rid of them but really does make them better!
I've found my first verrucas at the age of 75!! Am horrified! I may have been filing them without realising they were there. Am now treating them with Thuja cream. What is worrying me is how long the virus might hang around on my bedside rug - I have been treading on it with bare feet before discovering verrucas. Do I need to disinfect it in any way? I don't want to re-infect myself.
I have lost count of the verrucas on my feet - they don't really hurt much, but they're still spreading on my feet. I realy just want to know an effective way of getting rid of loads of verrucas! The doctor said I can't get them frozen off now, and I've tried ducktape, it started to work, but then it didn't! Anyone have any tips?
i think u shud buy veruca plasters u need to apply it religously everyday and hopefully it will go away,if u cant find it in the shops ask ur local pharmacists but all ways remember BE PATIENT!!!!!!
I need help I would like to get rid of my verrucas Hi I've got 2 verrucas on the bottom of my left foot I've had 1 for about 2 years and the other is painfull when I walk on it I've tried buzukka and it hasn't worked I'm now using duct tape but I don't think that is working. I've been using duct tape for about 8 weeks HELP I would like them gone
I am so pleased I found a cure. I have suffered with verrucas on my left foot for years and I had a whole cluster. Shortly before Xmas i tried soaking a small amount of cotton wool in cider vinegar and covering with duck tape overnight. I put on a sock overnight and removed in the morning when I got up to have a shower. Within a week it went black, I continued 10 days just to make sure. It's very painful to walk on first thing in the morning but it was so successful I carried on to remove a crop of about 9 in all one area at a time. They never fell out I just scraped away each week with a scalpel (use with extreme caution) and now my foot is as good as new. Can't believe why I didn't know about it earlier.
You definitely need to see a GP about that. Home remedies are either not very effective, or take a longer while to take effect. The GP will prescribe you a wart treatment containing salicylic acid to get rid of it.
I have 15 verrucas and three warts on one foot, and 5 verrucas and 2 warts on the other foot. I have had them for about 6years now, and have tried everything including; bazucka and other similar gels, freezing acid, tea tree oil, duck tape, banana skins taped over each one, everything. But they will not budge. They are very painful and extremely unattractive. I have tried leaving them to air and not trapping them in sweaty shoes or socks, but still no good. Has anyone got any suggestions to getting rid of them? Please!
Duct tape!!! Honestly it works!
Silver Nitrate (Avoca) seems to work when everthing else failed for me. I had even tried laser treatment but that only got rid of my money, not my verrucas. I'm still battling mine - it just takes a long time. Seems to help to get them wet before you treat them as well (after a hot bath is good).
Why are my verrucas very itchy?
What is the cost of laser surgery on verrucas, and can you get it done on the NHS
