Hi! I suffer from gastroduodenal Crohn's and I am prone to vomiting even when I don't have obstructions or major stricturing. My concern is that despite taking regularly taking anti-emetics such as domperidone, when I flare it still starts off with acute chronic vomiting which quickly causes small mallory-weiss tears. Is there any way to heal these quickly? Even when the flare is brought under control with steroids it takes ages for the remaining sore throat to go away.

i have the same vomitin prob, it started when i was 13-15 and then i went on the pill "trinovum" the workd fr 5-7 yrs but only resently ive be that way again

I would advise you either go to the doctors or hospital. when i was younger and in hospital there was this girl that hadben on her period for a very long time and needed a blood transfusion to replace the lost blood. If you loose too much blood you could develop an iron deficiency which will lead to anaemia and ultimatly death. you should seek your doctor or well woman's help and if you have to get a second oppinion then do. the girl mentioned above died because she was a jahova's witness and her family denied her the transfusion that would have kept her alive.

I’m 19, and have suffered with IBS since I was young. If I ate a lot of crap food when I was younger I would be up all night being sick and going to the toilet. It has worsened as I have got older. But I find times of stress bring it on more. I have bouts of constipation and diarrhea. Now and again I have the bad stomach cramps, vomiting and needing the loo urgently. I don’t have it as bad as some people, where it controls your life. I do feel for you! Because after I have been ill I am weary of eating and going anywhere. I know the symptoms inside and out, and I can normally track the pain moving in my intestine until it is low enough to go to the toilet. But the other night I had very violent vomiting and diarreah. But there was different pain. It was just under my rib cage near my stomach, and slightly to the left. It felt like I had a brick stuck in me, and it wasn’t moving. The pain was so intense I was sweating, and finally passed out because of exhaustion. The vomiting and going to the toilet didn’t help the pain at all, normally this will get rid of the normal IBS. Can anyone tell me what this was?! I have looked online and can’t find any help!! It may be more than IBS, I’m scared my digestive system is damaged. My doctors don’t seem to care about me and I doubt they would find it if anything was wrong!!

When i was 11 i developed cyclical vomiting syndrome and ever since i have had really bad dark circles or racoon eyes. Nothing i do gets rid of them and i know it is linked to the illness because i never had them before i became sick. Anyway i have been in remission for over a year now and despite that it hasnt improved my racoon eyes. Due to the illness i developed an eating disorder and now i am dealing with anorexia and hoping my illness doesnt come back because i know it will kill me while i have anorexia. One thing i have noticed however is that i am really struggling to drink literally anything! I cant drink squash and i dont drink pure juice bevause of the acid level. I cant drink hot drinks and i am left with water, I do drink water but i have noticed i will have about a sip of water to take with my tablets a day. In one week i dont even think i manage to drink a small cup of water all together. I know dehydration can cause racoon eyes and one thing cyclical vomiting does is makes you dehydrate due to the vomiting. Now im in remission i struggle to drink and honestly dont know what to do anymore. I know you can survive without food for a while but not without water which means it wont take long to kill me. I cant find anything like this on the the internet and i am desperate now, what can i do? please help.

hey shaynie. don't kill yourself, slowly or quickly. life is worth living, and if you find some things that make you happy, spend some time in nature, laugh with some friends, you'll realize that. subconsciously i'm not sure you know that. it would also not hurt to talk to a psychologist to help discover the root of these problems. in the meantime, you're right, you NEED water to survive. i find it very difficult to drink water myself, so i can suggest for you non-sugar powder flavour drinks such as crystal light. it's not as GOOD as drinking just water, but in diet programs, it is considered an acceptable alternative to water, and if you find a flavour that you like, it's quite possible that you will be able to get your daily fill. i hope this helps and that you take my advice to get outside, see some friends, and really talk to someone. that you are reaching out shows that there is a part of you that wants to fix this, so go ahead and do it. FIGHT for your life! believe in yourself and you can accomplish anything. much luck, love and light to you.

I am a senior citizen & have been on omeprazole for over 8 years, but very concerned about side effects (osteoporosis, swelling of joints, vitamin b deficiency, vomiting, diarrhea, etc). I stopped taking it 2 weeks ago, and have had severe acid reflux, much worse than before I began medication. It has eased somewhat these last few days (I'm taking dgl licorice capsules, honey, 1tsp baking soda in a cup of water when nothing else works). I'm managing to keep most of my meals down now, but when I drink any cold liquids (even water), it flares up immediately. I had an endoscopy last year which was negative. My doctor only seems to want to prescribe more prescriptions for the acid reflux - I want to find out what's causing this. Does anyone have any suggestions? I thought once the omeprazole was totally out of my system, I would see an improvement. The only good thing is that I'm not having the vomiting & diarrhea that was occurring regularly when on the omeprazole. Please - I need answers!!!

Hi, my nane is Adele an I diagnosed with behcets ten yr ago when i was 30, at the age of 35 i was hospitalised for 6 weeks due to vomiting an abnormal liver function an stomach pain, before this i had been hospitalised at least a dozen Times, then one doctor suggested they take my gaul bladder out whish was a small more or less pain Free operation, with in weeks my symptoms had about almost cleared by about 90% ,an my life became alot better,

Hi in response to Candy I am going to be 50 this year. I was first diagnosed 16 years ago after various treatment for herpes. After been under a very good professor in the UK things have gotten a lot better. I still take medication but not as often as before an my outbreaks are now down to once a year. It's been a strange one because my 23 year old daughter was diagnosed with this at 13. She has just had the worst attack which has lasted almost 3 week's. A support group is needed as we have nit found many people In the UK who have this syndrome

Probable cause: food poisoning Orange or dark coloured urine is a sign of dehydration Drink more fluids and visit gp or out of ours for a rehydration prescription If its severe dehydration you may need to go on a fluids drip to keep you from dehydrating

I had this, im getting my gall bladder out as I was diagnosed with pancreatitis, I was jaundice vomiting and unable to eat or drink, my kidneys started to fsil also.

I would say it sounds like you have IBS - especially if you can link your flares with moments of stress & anxiety, and perhaps when you had diarrhea and vomiting it was a bug? Anywho I'm no doctor lol so it's best to get seen :-) good luck xx

the portion size you are trying to eat may be too big, I felt it immediately if I ate a large fork full and had to vomit. it was really sore but eased after vomiting. try only taking really small portions

Thanks, I am usually really careful anyway with the portion size and speed I eat. The doc seems to think I've pulled a bunch of muscles around my stomach which is causing my current pain. My band is fine according to the recent x-ray so they think I've got an intermittent bug.. it sucks! But seems it's just the band aggravating an already bad bug.. which appears to have returned over the last 2 days :(
