Hey, I'm 18yo and have had it since birth, some of my family have had it and say to me that there is nothing wrong, but i know there is as i get bad wheezing, back pains, chest pains and use to black out when it got to bad. i've come to a certain degree of acceptance, as there isn't much i can get done about it is not considerd bad enough and is seen as a cosmetic want. i use to get bullied at school and still get remarks on occasion but i believe as i get older it is progressivly getting worse.

My son when he was 2 was diagnosed as having a peanut allergy and allergic asthma after having a wheezing and coughing fit after eating sweets like smarties with peanut puree in. So for the last 17 years I have mansged to keep him peanut free. However in the last eight months he has started to have other allergic reactions where we have ended up in casualty, due to ibuprofen, muffins we thought were nut free, certain beers etc his symptoms include swollen eyes, lips, throat feeling like it is swelling, severe indigestion, urticaria all over his body and a red rash. When he went to his GP abut allergy testing he was told they don't do it and he wuold just have to watch what he eats. He takes anthistimines everyday. Does anyone have any information on any thing else he can take or do to help find out more about his allergies or to help them, as I am worried they are going to get worse

Hi, I am in the same place i'm afraid. I have been told that there is nothing can be done. My quality of life is poor and I am in a lot of discomfort. My last child was born 15 years ago and I have suffered since then and have scoliosis. However, recently I had a sudden and very severe pain after which, my tummy became so protuberant, also gastric reflux, breathlessness, wheezing, a hard persistent cough and urinary incontinence. I had two opinions, the first (registrar) diagnosed Diastasis Recti and said I needed an operation as my muscles were sitting around to one side of my body. Her Senior colleague (consultant) disagreed and has simply implied that I am just Fat! I am slightly overweight but I certainly did not look 9 months pregnant prior to this awful pain recently. I feel dreadful and have been off work now for 5 months. I cry most days because of the state I am in and because I am not being listened to or helped. The Doc has sent me for another opinion, this being the third), and I hope that she treats me with more respect. I am desperate. I fully sympathize and urge you not to give up. Today i go to the Patients advice and support service to plead my case and ask them to help me get the consultation through asap and the treatment I need to feel better.

I have been dealing with this agonizing burning, itching, stinging and cold feet/hot elsewhere for 3-4 years now.I have attacks about 20 minutes after eating or drinking anything.I get the little white pimply/or underskin dots/hives.They feel like ingrowing hairs or knives' pricks if touched. Some develop into red bumps, or pinkish hives and striated welts. Some, break out in a similar traversing pattern on my back, shoulders and chest, very painful on bony lines. They bleed, especially on back and shoulder areas. They are also really hard, so hard to pick at. I get semi, to no help from the various prescribed and OTC creams and concoctions of folklore. Best relief seems to be rubbing banana, peels underskin over, about 30-45 mins relief, half of a potato gives about 20-30 mins. letup.Mentholatum Ice Gel helped my burning buttocks for several hours. The ones on my forearms, where the capillaries bleed out, due to an intense itching which must be overattacking of histamines war with an even sronger response from my immunity, eventually disappear, usually minus scarring in about 2 weeks.Betnovate type creams best for them, or peppermint lip treatment soothes, by Orion.TM is Oralife.I have been toying with the possibility of the vascular valve system being involved. This may explain why, after retiring ,many people report timed attacks.Mine work in 2.5 to 3 hr waves, similar to how many drugs and, probably food elements have halflife reactions in the body's systems. However mine are much shorter periods of activity.Elimination diets are useless when everything ingested does this.Allergies are usually about 4 substances, or their families, being why they can be diagnised and treated with small doses gradually reintroduced into your system. This, that I am experiencing, though, has the hallmarks of hugely overactive immunity.I have wheezing and much sputum production from this, as well as from trying, for about the 5th time to get off the deadly, yet as well, very helpful drug, Prednisilone. I'm down to 10mg per day. So far no reversing of Cushingoid disease, nor appreciable loss of midriff girth, nor weight loss. This thing is a real curse, but I hope some of these ideas may help others. To Miss itchy eyelids on this forum, yours sounds like an allergy.Polaramine fast acting may be best to try, It is OTC in Australia and cheaper, and can come in 40-50 packs at $15, it makes you drowsy, but least of the drowsy group of antihistamines. I think it is a maleate. The Pharmacist can give it, or order for you.I used this for a long time for all year round Rhinitis, or hayfever.

Hi Lee, I've had the same problem (although not to the balls as I don't have any!) for all my adult life and I'm 52! I have recently gone back to the doctor's and been tested for worms or other parasites and it was negative. I have taken oral treatment coupled with a hydrocortizone cream to treat anal thrush twice within the last 6 months with no success. There seems to be no visible signs around the itchy area which is mainly just inside the bum hole. Like you, it happens mainly at night and often starts after removing underwear but can wake me at 3am (now!). There is often a feeling of dampness which can be (but not always) smelly. To cope, I get a piece of kitchen paper and rub to relieve the itching; then pat in some baby powder before adding some prescribed hydrocortizone cream; then I fold up a clean piece of kitchen paper and leave it between my cheeks. Keeping the cheeks apart helps a lot. This has driven me mad for 30 years so if your doctor finds a solution or has any suggestions that I could relate to my doctor, I would love to know!
