hi there i too suffer from crps ,and have it in most of my body now i have had it for 3 years and aqm now on waiting list for a spine cord stimulator i was told that surgeon s do not amputate anymore as it only make the crps spread tp the opposite side of body ,have you seen anyone from the pain clinic there are other remedies to help with the pain ie morphine patches ,pregablin ,lidocaine patches ,and also i am using a pain machine which can be bought from most chemist s or boots ,nerve blocks are also used but as you said there is no cure its just finding the right way to cope with the excruciating pain i hope this helps you

amputation is one of the worst things u can do for rsd. it could make ur rsd spread to other limbs. i have had rsd for 3 years in my left leg. i have tried nerve blocks and cold laser treatment and spinal cord stimulator there are many options that u can try. but please dont do an amputation unless u really have too.

In about March 2010 after masturbating and then sleeping without washing the next day I had developed white patches on my penis head (glans). Well I regret it now but basically I panicked and scratched the skin badly and left my self with scar marks there, almost like deep lines on my penis head. Ever since the skin on my penis can be very dry. The skin now a days looks ok when my penis is flaccid and it can be ok when I get an erection. But after I get an erection and the penis goes flaccid again the skin looks withered, dry, wrinkly and scaly. The skin goes like this also after ejaculatio. After being to the doctors I have used Canesten but to no affect. I am now using Bio OIl to try and stop the skin going like this but im not sure if this will work, I am a virgin so I know the problem is not an STI. Does anyone have any advice?? Thanks.

Every morning when I wake up my right hand is completely numb. It has been like this for several weeks it takes at least a minute before there is any feeling in my hand. What could be the cause of this?

I have cubital tunnel, a disorder of the nerves where my "funny bone" nerve is pinched in my elbows, causing numbness of either the pinky/ring finger side of the hand or the whole hand. It can take a long time for feeling to come back. It can also be really painful, too. I usually wake up with fully numb arms and/or hands. It feels like I have been sitting on them all day. The best thing you can do for this, before having to take the doctor route, is to lay your arms out flat while you sleep. You wrap towels around your arms to keep them flat. If you wake up in the morning and your hands aren't numb, then your problem is you're sleeping in a position that is causing your arms to bend. If not, or if it lasts much longer or becomes painful definitely talk to a doctor. But, whatever you do, don't go the surgical route unless it's REALLY painful and REALLY affects your life. I've gone the surgical route. It's really painful, gives you a painful scar, and REALLY hurts when you hit it!

i am 17. on my left hand near my thumb my hand shakes (in that specific spot) it lasts about ten seconds and comes every 5-10 minutes. Can anyone explain this?

I am 18 and have been playing the piano for almost 8 years. Recently, my left hand has had tremors and it is harder to play the piano. My fingers in the left hand miss the target key or they slip off. I also have the same problem when I type. My parents think it is from the ADD medicine I am taking, but it has never been this bad. I have also played the violin for 12 years, and it seems harder to play. When I hold something or just hold my hand up, it really shakes a lot. It sometimes tingles. Is this benign essential tumor or not? and is there a way to fix it?

I hope by now someone has pointed out to you that the last word in your potential diagnosis is "tremor" meaning "shaky" and nothing to do with a tumour (a lump somewhere) in that particular diagnosis. Of course I't is very important for you to see your G.P. - I know this can be quite daunting especially if you don't currently have one If you don't then contact your local hospital to find a G.P. practice near to you to register. I'm not exactly sure when my tremors started( 3-5 years ago maybe more) but I finally felt the need to do something about it some 8 months ago. I was initially (and currently) prescribed Propanolol in various dosages and it has definitely helped me.

dont get bouts of it 2 fingers on my left hand plus my hand cant hold anything havent got enough grip 2 hold knife 2 cut food been like it for months pins and needles aswell

get out of the house and away from the porn. usually after ejaculation you think to yourself, why the heck am i doing this or, I need a girlfriend. But when you're all alone if you have the house to yourself, the urge to do it again is so overwhelming, especially to have good porn. Alot less ejaculation should help out. Your body produces sperm daily, but too much ejaulation will put a strain on your testies because you are getting rid of it faster then you are producing it. try cutting it down to once a day if you cant just go cold turkey. And drink lots of water.

I'm 73 and have a testicle that is slowly but steadily withering. It is a fraction the size of the other. Although my sex drive is alive and well, I've no capability of maintaining an erection. Viagra, Cialis et al are no help. Could the withered testicle be the culprit? What to do?

Hi Fiona. If it is split and sore then ask your doctor for a two week course of antibiotics aswell as a four week course of a strong steroid cream like betnovate c. You must continue with the steroid cream for four weeks even if it has cleared up. This was advice I was given by a dermatologist who said the common problem is that people stop using the cream as soon as it clears up instead of doing the full month. Hope this helps.

I'm an 18 year old female and i suspect that i was born with Poland Syndrome. Although i have normal breast development my right hand is significantly smaller than the left. I was born with my first two fingers webbed and had an operation when i was 7 years old to correct this but we were never told at the hospital why my hand was so much smaller than the other. The knuckles in my right hand are very lumpy and ugly looking and my index finger on my right hand has only developed up to the first knuckle - although it has a nail. People have rarely commented nastily about it. The most someone says is 'aww thats so cute' Patronising but i guess it is better than being bullied. I'ved just learnt to live with my smaller hand. Some things are harder to do but i've learnt ways of coping. I've accepted my hand the way it is and have even grown to love it - i don't think i would change it for a 'normal' hand if i had the chance. Boyfriends have never minded either.

I have chilblains in the fingers on my right hand. No where else - just my right hand. It's completely discoloured - between red and purple and when I'm outside and it's cold it goes bright red. It's also swollen - you can see the difference between it and my left hand - and it's got a few big, purple lumps here and there on each finger. I've never been teased for something so much in my life! I started using McGloins Chilblain Ointment but it didn't do a thing and it made my hand very sticky and smelly. It looks terrible and it is very irratating.

I suspect I may have this. Only really noticed over the last year or two. Particularly in my left hand - even right now, it looks colder than my right hand. While back I read that more oats in my diet may help but there has been no difference since I started trying that. People always telling me my hands look cold is boring now and you can always see people looking at them, and yes they do look bright pink at times. At home they're not always bad, but outside or at work they're always like this. I could be boiling hot, yet if you looked at my hands, you wouldn't think so. Sometimes small purple/blue patches scatter over the back of my left hand. For as long as I can remember now I've had this tiny harmless looking red spot (barely even a speck)on the back of my left hand. When that hand looks cold, there's usually a radius of about 5 or 6mm of normal coloured skin - singled out on a cold hand. Just looks odd!

I am so pleased to have finally found a name for this condition. I am 54 and have suffered with a shaky hand for a few years now. It is my left hand which is a problem as I am left handed. I guess that hand gets more used and more tired. My right hand is hardly affected. I have shaky writing and spill or rattle cups of tea etc.I also have difficulty pouring milk and painting my fingernails. I will just put up with it as I hate going to the doctor and hate the idea of medication.

Hiya dont worry about a thing lots of people have warts on their hand, im 15 and i go out alot with my mates the summer is coming and i wud love to wear sandles but tye unfortunate thing is i cant i have a cluster of warts about 15 of them and they keep spreading, everytime i find one it makes me upset coz i just think how much longer its gurno take to get rid of them, i won even go tge swiming baths now so dont worry just go the doctor before it gets worse xx

Use Duct Tape! This is by far the best thing to do ! I have four warts on my hands and i am 14 years old so its pretty horrible for me two ! Every night cover your warts in a small cube of duct tape and sleep! you can even wear it in the day if you get a pinky coloured tape. This really works as it suffercates the wart ! Good luck ! XX

I was sitting at my desk using the computer for a few hours. After a while my hand went numb so I adjusted my position and eased off the hand I had been leaning on. Hours later I still experienced numbness in the little and 3rd fingers and the left side of my left hand. Its been almost two weeks now and I still have a slightly tingly sensation in my hand. Every morning when I wake, I keep experiencing numbness and it takes a while for the sensation to come back. Have no idea what it could be. Any ideas anyone?

carpulltunnel thats whot ive got its the nerves in your hand and the pain goes up your arm im waiting for my operation

I had 4 warts on my right hand and i had them for about 4-5 years, i cant remember exactly and they was really making me feel uncomfortable, i wouldnt hold my boyfriends hand with the hand with them on, i would keep my hand all covered up and feel reeeally selfconcious about them but i went to the doctors and i got ccryogenics i think it was called. its where they freeze the wart over a couple of weeks, and for me, theyturned to blood blisters then became scabs, how ever the cryp hiurts alittle at first but after about 2 sessions it wont bother you. it leaves slight scaring but id rather have a scar than a wart anyday!

My Dad has suffered from this for at least 10yrs now (he's 68yrs) and he's had an operation on one hand which has slowly continued to contract since. On his other hand now his ring finger is at a complete 90 degree angle and he thought his only option now was amputation following his last visit to the hand specialist so I was really excited to see this enzyme injection on here last night. Interested to here about anyone's experience with it.
